It Started
With a Vision

Founder Tom Haire had a vision for Haire Group to become a pillar in the corrugated industry. By rooting the company in a very specific culture, he created a company that was positioned for success regardless of industry trends or changes in the market. When Tom handed the reins to his successor Doug Muller, who had been with Tom since Haire’s inception, Doug held firm to the culture and values that were established, and that has led to the Haire’s success.

Since the beginning, Haire Group has been a company that focuses on people and values relationships above all else. In fact, Haire is the most customer-centric provider of corrugated solutions in the world.

The History of Haire

1976 Haire is Founded

Thomas B Haire, a 35-year industry veteran in corporate engineering and machinery sales, opens Haire Group. Doug Muller joins three months later as the first salesman.
1983 Logical growth.

Jeff Quinn, V.P. and General Manager, joins Haire Group as a summer laborer.
1984 Building the current offices.

Doug Becker, General Manager of DFA, joins the team. Offices, warehousing and manufacturing buildings are built at current address.
1985 More Growth

Bob Moser, Shop Production Manager joins Haire.
1986 A legend steps down.

Thomas B. Haire retires, and Doug Muller becomes President. As manufacturing increases, the first addition to the building is made.
1989 A growing team.

Keith Umlauf, Executive V.P. of Sales, joins Haire Group in sales/procurement of pre-owned machines.
1990 The market demands.

Herb Passo, President, joins Haire Group. Due to warehousing demand in manufacturing and pre-owned machine acquisitions, the second addition to the building is completed.
2005 Partnership.

Haire Group partners with Dong Fang to sell Rotary Die Cutters and Flexo-Folder-Gluers in USA and Canada.
2012 A new kind of support.

Bill Heintz, COO of DFA, comes aboard and helps form Dong Fang America Technical Support Center to increase parts and support for product lines.
2017 The showroom arrives.

Construction begins on the expansion of Haire Group’s onsite showroom and training center.
2020 The partnership grows.

Haire begins selling Dong Fang’s Italian-manufactured EDF machinery.
